I have always given this to my tawny owl, because I have always been told that it is adviseable. I have no idea if it is really beneficial, but the owl is now 18 years old and still healthy! Delivery from the Bird Care Company was excellent.

It is not possible to feed whole animal every day as birds would in the wild. As a powder this is easy to give a measured dose of nutrients that may be missing from the birds meat and chick diet.

    Raptor essential

Been feeding whole carcass diet on my hawks for many years. Two years ago i tried using this product on one of a pair of 3 year old retailed hawks. The one on whole carcass plus this product has moulted out clean and its general behaviour is superior to the other. I believe this to be a first rate all food supplement that if used daily and correctly, will be of great benefit. For those feeding only a cheap day old chick diet it is vital. I have no hesitation in recommending this supplement.

Hi all, I've been using raptor essential for 5 months now, I skin the breast of a chick and coat with the powder. My falcon seems okay on it no problems up to press. I feed every day. I also feed guardian angel twice a month in an attempt to keep the bird in top condition. All in all I'm pleased with the products and will continue to use, my falcons moulting at the moment so she will need a good supply of vitamins and minerals to grow strong feathers.
