Fantastic product I wouldn’t be without it
Mo has this once a month in a small pinch with my avian vet's blessing. She read the ingredients approved it because quantities are stated and said once a month was fine. Mo has cuttlefis if she wants them as well and she has feast so her diet is pretty much covered for dietary vitamin minerals and other trace element needs. She likes the taste of it and always eats it all. It reassures me she is getting the best.
the birds like it and look well, put on there green food, not expensive either, good products from bird care.
Excellent
I had a brilliant result,. from sick birds to happy healthy ones i will continue to use this product. thank you
In my personal experience, the powder form of calcivet is more readily consumed on food than liquid calcivet when given as a supplement to a variety of raptors. It does not appear to taint the taste of the meat.
My bird has taken to this and doesn’t appear to be plucking as much
Great service and great products I use calcivet for my breeding pairs and it has the birds right with great results
I have used this ( powered version which I prefer) consistently as directed before egg laying and drop to two days a week the rest of the year after babies have finished growing. I have never had any problems with poor egg quality, egg bound hens or splayed legs etc. I have also used a loading dose of calcivet on a blue and gold macaw which I rehomed with poor feather quality and withheld feather sheaths along with the normal DE3 and feast. I did this for a month before dropping to 2 days a week. When blood and disease testing failed to find a reason for the withheld sheaths despite the bird having previously been on a ‘good’ diet ( Harrison’s pellets) I asked the Bird care company and they recommended these steps to take. 18 months later the macaw is in beautiful condition. I would highly recommend this product.
