Additional Information
Calcivet ON FOOD Powder application:
Sprinkle over fresh foods, human foods or moistened soft foods(Feast). Use once or twice a week for non-breeding birds and up to 5 days a week for breeders. Use less frequently if birds are consuming hard drinking water.
Application continued:
For small collections give 1 pinch for a pair of finches/canaries, 2 pinches per pair budgies,4 pinches per pair cockatiels/rosellas, 4 pinches for one amazon/grey, 8 pinches per macaw. Alternatively add 20g (4 heaped teaspoons) to a kg of dry softoo

    I add this to my egg and nut soft food mixes in well daily in breeding season 3 times week rest of the year.

    A lovely product that mixes with the fruit and veg I feed my birds and is readily ingested. The only criticism I have is the container it comes in, not the product itself. It would be much better with a "pepper" style shaker lid to make the application of smaller quantities to food so much easier. As with other Birdcare Company supplements etc I'm disappointed that they don't supply containers with built in applicators as standard.

    The birdcare company actually saved my parrot's life a few years ago when she had a calcium deficiency and nearly hacked herself to death - The vet(s) tested her many times over and did not recognise the problem. My Meyers was suffering SO much I was on the verge of having her put down - it was awful, and then I found the Birdcare company who immediately recognised her problem. My Meyers has her calcium supplement regularly and the Birdcare company is the only place I will purchase it from/recommend. The product is fantastic. The company really care/show they do and know their stuff with helpful advice! This really is a one stop shop for quality food and supplements for birds. I will shop at no other place now. I also take other supplements for my parrot which were recommended by the Birdcare co. and my Meyers has never been so perky and healthy looking. Her coat is bright and shiny and soft and she is very happy and healthy. Thank you Birdcare Co!
