ProBoost SuperMax - High protein breeding supplement for birds
On food breeding supplement for birds to boost fertility and help with chick growth. Provides protein, organic and fatty acids, vitamins and minerals which aid both parent and chick birds during the breeding season. Ideally given 6-8 weeks prior to breeding, this supplement will bring adult birds into condition and increases fertility rates.
ProBoost SuperMax puts better nutrition into eggs, so the embryo is better fed and stronger resulting in increased survival rates.
Boost your birds breeding results by increasing protein in their diet!
Before breeding, adult birds need to know that the food is going to be good enough to raise babies. It is best to give that message gently for 6-8 weeks prior to your planned breeding date.
Baby birds need a far higher proportion of protein in their diet so they can develop muscles, feathers and other parts of their bodies. They may even do well with 25% protein - roughly double the amount the adult birds need.
ProBoost SuperMax is far more than just protein. It also contains ingredients to help improve fertility and chick health and growth. As they grow the chicks need more and more energy to maintain their bigger bodies. So while they still need lots of protein to grow they need even more energy to keep their bodies warm and move around a lot more. When they fledge and start to fly this requirement for more energy gets even more important. So the older they are the lower percentage protein they require. If we tried to work all this out for every bird every day in the birdroom we would need a supercomputer. Fortunately we don't need to, the parents are a supercomputer themselves.
- ProBoost SuperMax application:
- Give a maximum of 2.5 grams (1 level teaspoon) daily for 32 pairs finches (Gouldian size), 16 pairs canaries, 8 pairs budgies, 5 pairs cockatiels or 1 pair Amazons/greys. Scale up or down for smaller or larger birds.
- Active ingredients:
- Protein 84%, Fat 1%, Ash 5%, Flourish, Vitamins and minerals specific for breeding.

Puts birds off fruit
Don't try it on fruit, they don't like the flavour (well mine don't anyway but they're fussy with everything!) I also give them several foods as options, so they pick other stuff if too much of this is on fruit.

really pleased so far,have only been using it 3 weeks so not sure on long term benefits but overall birds seem in great form since using this

Does what it says on the tub
I am a newcomer to PSM but it has brought ever pair into condition at the predicted time as I have gradually built up the dose to the maximum level over 6 weeks. It has also brought both the cock and hen red lored amazon into condition at the same time whereas previously the hen has laid before the cock was interested enough to do his part, invariably a month later. I would buy this again.
