Daily Essentials3 - On food multi vitamins, minerals and amino acids for birds
The Birdcare Company
For healthier, fitter, happier birds with gleaming feathers, add this easy-to-use multi-vitamin and multi-mineral mix to drinking water. Just pop it in and give it a stir. Easier still mix sufficient for a couple of days into water in a bottle, put the lid on and give it a good shake. Keep what you don't use today in the fridge for tomorrow. Then mix more up fresh.
Birds need to have a full spectrum of vitamins and minerals to remain fit and healthy, just as we do. But we eat a varied diet, while most birds kept by us have a diet comprising substantially of dry seed, which is deficient in the majority of vitamins and minerals. In the wild our birds would go for green, sappy, nutritious seeds and would have a supply of different seeds and fruits available to them as the season progressed. This is why it is important for you to provide the nutritious vitamins and minerals for them.
With Daily Essentials1, we make it easy for you. We've done all the hard work to find the best ratio of different vitamins and minerals to each other to keep your bird healthy. We also include the important but more expensive of these ingredients without falling for the temptation of cutting the expensive ones out. This is why our product contains 13 different vitamins and 9 trace minerals.
Daily Essentials1 is consistently a top selling product in our range and has been so for over 20 years, loved by customers around the world.

Top Tip: When using supplements in water, don't put out more of the water mixture than your birds are likely to drink in a day, because you end up throwing the excess away. Be sure to change the water every day so it remains fresh.
Going away tip: If you are going away and a friend or neighbour is going to look after your birds, make it easy for them by adding Aviclens to the supplement and water mix. With Aviclens added, which is a very economical product, you can mix up a week's worth of supply to leave in the fridge instead. Of course, you could do this for yourself as well, to make your life easier!
When is it good to offer a vitamin/mineral mix in the drinking water?
If the bird species which you keep are not keen on eating eggfood, soaked seed, or fruits and vegetables, then supplementing them with Daily Essentials1 via the drinking water is the route to follow. Typically this group includes Gouldian finches, budgerigars and many other finches outside the breeding season.
Putting supplements onto dry seed is not effective, as firstly it all tends to fall through to the bottom of the bowl and secondly, most birds husk their seed leaving the husks. Of course any supplements not at the bottom of the bowl will be stuck to the husk. Either way, the bird won’t consume the supplement and you are wasting your money!
By comparison, all birds will drink at some time (unless they are really sick), so supplements mixed into the drinking water will be consumed. Daily Essentials1 is a comprehensive blend of quality vitamins and minerals designed to be added to drinking water on a daily basis. It dissolves fully, so the ingredients are mixed throughout the water.
Key Features: dissolves easily into water and ideal for birds that are consuming just a dry seed mixture. Promotes good health and condition all year round. Suitable for young and older birds.
So pleased I read reviews and found this Supplement. It has helped my pet budgerigar stay healthy.
Been using this product for a couple of years now & my breeding results have never been better
I use this product (along with a fresh water option) with my Gouldian finches, Owl finches, Bengalese finches and African Silverbill finches and it's nice to see them choosing this supplement a fair share of the time as a few are awkward feeders who won't touch fresh vegetables etc but this way I know their enjoying a good balanced diet and not just seed mixes
I give this to my african greys and they are healthy so i'm assuming this stuff tops the essentials they miss out on with their diet
